So we care, I know you hear that a lot, but we really do. All of the founders of Clect are passionate collectors. I have sizeable Kenner Star Wars and World of Springfield Simpsons collections, Karl loves Marvel Legends and graphic novels, Morgan is a huge collector of exclusive Vinyl toys and Jon has every Star Wars comic ever!
So I guess what we are trying to say is that we are building this for you because we want to see it exist in the world! For too long have we been marginalised by the social networks and ecommerce sites and mistreated by the manufacturers, if we all band together, Collect Together if you will 🙂 , then we can truly make a difference.
We want to know what are the key things you want to see in a platform like Clect.
Sharing. Discovery. Organisation. Gamification. Buy. Sell. Trade.

We believe that collectors have to go to too many sites to enjoy an online collecting experience. Instagram, Pinterest to share. eBay and Craigslist to buy and sell. Facebook and Reddit to chat. Clect is a platform to unite these aims in one location on the web and as an app. We need you to prove what a passionate community we know you are and help us make the experience perfect as we evolve. We are looking for beta testers for our iOS app and have a few spaces left, you will receive free selling for life when we release the marketplace if you are part of the first 500.
So lets geek out together and build the home we deserve as one of the most vocal and passionate communities on the internet!

So I am into third month of my stay in San Francisco attending the Launch incubator, for someone who was always sceptical of incubators being helpful to a business like Clect it has been a real learning experience. First of all being part of a cohort of similar staged businesses really builds strong bonds with other founders, peer support and being able to bounce ideas around people facing the same challenges is very helpful. In general the speakers who have attended have been best in class and there is always valuable insight to be gained from those who have both failed and succeeded, and most often both, before you. The key takeaway for me to date has been the pitch itself, the number of times we do this coupled with the refinements we receive as suggestions is invaluabe.
I have gone from fear of pitching to one person to actively looking forward to pitching to thousands at the festival!
